CHETRA Australia Pty Ltd is the exclusive Australian importer of the Chetra range of machinery produced in Russia by CHETRA-Industrial Machinery JSC.

The history of CHETRA-Industrial Machinery JSC dates back to 1972 when the USSR started building an industrial tractor plant in Cheboksary, the capital of Chuvash Republic. In October 1975 the first tractor rolled off the production line. Today Cheboksary is rightly called the capital of the Russian tractor building industry.

Cheboksary Industrial Tractors Plant (ChZPT, later – “Promtractor” JSC and now CHETRA-Industrial Machinery JSC) was the first Russian tractor building enterprise to organize itself as a private company and to build a network of manufacturing and service centres. It provides its clients with a full-scale program of after-sales service by having local representation located close to machine operations. In addition to opening regional offices, CHETRA-Industrial Machinery JSC has undertaken the practice of working very closely with clients. The effective feedback system with clients and pro-active policy in sales and services has resulted in improved product quality which is now up to world standards.

Today, CHETRA-Industrial Machinery JSC is the leading Russian manufacturer of heavy earthmoving equipment having produced over 25,000 units and exporting to numerous countries all round the world.
